To really move the story along, the connection did have to happen faster. I think the connection is a little quick. There are some exciting scenes with the poachers, but plenty of time for romance. While the story might be a little farfetched in parts, if you kind of just let go, and let you imagination run wild, it is more enjoyable. I found myself getting into the story pretty quickly. Is one of the woman willing to give up her lifestyle for the other? Or will poachers put their romance to a deadly end? ![]() The more time they spend together, the more an attraction grows. ![]() After committing horrible acts in her life, she feels it is up to her to stop poachers any way possible. Think Tarzan but with a tiger jungle lady. I had not read the older version so I am not sure what has changed. ![]() ![]() ![]() This required that he provide periodic medical assistance in the towns of Aston (now a district of Birmingham) and Sheffield. Jane’s mother, the Marchioness of Dorset, is a cold and calculating woman, disappointed at not bearing a son and a harsh taskmaster to her daughter. As a female of the blood royal in a male-dominated age, she was powerless against those who schemed to use her for their own ends. The distance proved crucial: The farther a quake happens from InSight, the deeper into the planet its seismic waves can travel before being detected. 18, 2021, the two temblors were the first identified by the InSight team to have originated on the opposite side of the planet from the lander – so-called farside quakes. The findings, which mark the first direct observations ever made of another planet’s core, were detailed in a paper published April 24 in the Proceedings of the National Academies of Sciences. By looking at seismic waves the instrument detected from a pair of temblors in 2021, scientists have been able to deduce that Mars’ liquid iron core is smaller and denser than previously thought. While NASA retired its InSight Mars lander in December, the trove of data from its seismometer will be pored over for decades to come. A pair of quakes in 2021 sent seismic waves deep into the Red Planet’s core, giving scientists the best data yet on its size and composition. ![]() 5/26/2023 0 Comments Still star crossed book ending![]() ![]() It’s a pity, because this show seriously had potential. You don’t need to bring me to tears every episode or elicit a belly laugh from me every other line – but we expect something! I know that may be asking too much of a soapy TV show, but the most basic ask of good entertainment is to make the audience care. Their plight grabs you by the heart and is designed to make you feel deeply – group catharsis, as Aristotle said when discussing theater. This show doesn’t do that. Yes, it’s high drama, but where are the stakes? Where is the emotion? Shakespeare wrote for the stage, so the characters and plot lines would be a little over-the-top, but what’s made them last is that, despite theatrics, they feel real. Personally, I think Shakespeare would be disappointed at what his work’s been made of in this show. From what I can tell, the creative team was planning on more, but ABC decided to give it a limited release, so we end up with a seven-episode season. ![]() And so, after seven episodes, thus ends STILL STAR-CROSSED. ![]() 5/26/2023 0 Comments Paint It Black by Amy Lane![]() ![]() Before becoming an established author, Amy Lane had become the mother of 4 children and forced her to give up her passion for writing for a short period of time in order to look after her children. ![]() Her novels have done wonders for her and have helped her to make a name for herself and achieve tremendous fame and success in her writing career.
